print & pattern
This is one of my favorite blogs.
It is very inspirational and the stuff that is put up on it seems mostly from Europe I think. I love graphic design stuff and wish I was better at drawing. I keep meaning to draw something everyday just for practice but I have yet to do that.
I am so amazed at all the things on the internet. While mass merchants abound and close small stores left and right, you can always go on the web and find some handmade, awesome thing. I love perusing Etsy Shops. This is where you can sell your wares and there are some great artists. One day I will make one...when I can figure out what I want to make. The different things people do has really opened up a lot of mediums that I can do that i never thought of.
In family news, we have had tons of family visiting us this summer. Joe's brother Dave and family were here last week and their baby, Gunner is 10 days older than Slater. There was a picture back in December of the two babies dressed alike and here is another one.

changing it up
This blog has become boring to me. I don't feel like I can post what I really want to and I did just get busted last month with a story about Tucker and some friends of his finding my blog and reading it and he didn't like that... So I think I am going to start posting all the cool things I find on the internet. Some are links from other blogs that I read and some are things that I find just tooling around. Anyway, I love coming across fun, artsy things in people's blogs so that is what mine is going to be. I will add photos of family now and then but get ready for some cool finds.
Today's cool find is this fabric store that has the coolest fabrics. It is making me want to sew a wrap around skirt and a tote big time. I even have a few things added to a cart right now (but actually don't plan on buying because I have so many other things I want to be doing and I just can't do them all).
Check it out and maybe one day I will sew me up a wrap around skirt. I have really been wanting to get back into sewing something so maybe soon.
I think this would be such a cute reversible skirt with something cute and monochromatic as the underside.
And I see this as the lining of a tote bag... what to put with it. I couldn't decide so that pretty much ended the fabric shopping spree. I really love soft orange and the kelly green that is everywhere. I have two green shirts that I wear all the time and it is hard for me not to buy another!
